Our Annual Meeting is moving online! Join us during the month of October for even more access to the content you enjoy at our annual meeting. We're offering a slate of workshops, main events, educational tracks and social networking opportunities designed to fit our members' schedules and needs.

Main Event

The iSRA Main Event takes center stage to provide inspirational talks from our renowned Keynote Speakers, updates from our Federal and National Partners, Showcases for SRAI’s vital sponsors and advocates, and networking opportunities for all career stages. The iSRA Main Event will kick off with our opening Keynote address and we will close out the first day with a virtual happy hour and an exciting entertainment event. Day 2 will begin with our closing Keynote speaker and end with our traditional business meeting and awards ceremony recognizing recent and career-long professional achievements exemplifying individual excellence in research administration. The iSRA Main Event offers something for everyone and as an added bonus, each of the concurrent sessions offered will be available to participants on demand for an additional 30 days after the event has ended so you don’t have to miss a thing!

I301: National Institutes of Health (NIH) Update

This session provides an opportunity to learn what is new and what is being developed within the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) programs, policies, and budgets. In this comprehensive review, participants will learn about the newest policy updates and how their respective institutions may be impacted.

I401: National Science Foundation (NSF) Update

This session will cover new developments related to proposal and award policy at NSF. NSF staff will provide a comprehensive review of NSF’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, recent policy changes and updates to NSF’s proposal system modernization efforts.

This session will cover the latest happenings in Washington, DC that impact research institutions, including the current activities of the Council on Governmental Relations. I501: White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) Update

Join us to hear the latest information on OSTP's priorities and actions across a broad spectrum of policy areas. Information on OSTP-led efforts to increase the security, efficiency, rigor and inclusiveness of the research environment will be included in the discussion, as well as efforts to address challenges and foster resilience in the wake of COVID-19.

I502: Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP) Update

The FDP is an association of federal US agencies; academic research institutions, with administrative, faculty and technical representation; and research policy organizations that work to streamline the administration of federally sponsored research. FDP members of all sectors cooperate in identifying, testing, and implementing new, more effective ways of managing federal research grants with the goal of improving the productivity of research without compromising its stewardship. This session will include an overview of the FDP’s structure, mission, and current initiatives.

The iSRA Annual Meeting Reception will provide an opportunity to meet likeminded peers from around the world while creating the space to catch up with old friends and colleagues. Whether you are looking to build your network or share your wisdom and insights, the virtual happy hour is sure to provide a stimulating environment for robust discussion and relationship building. A virtual entertainment event (to be announced) will follow the happy hour as a small reward for all of your hard work during the first day.
