Welcome
Clean and Safe Protocols
The Annual Meeting in New Orleans is quickly approaching, and we are very excited to be bringing our community together to learn, share hard earned experiences and expertise acquired over the last 24 months, and network with our peers and mentors. The personal connections and training gained from our in-person events are essential to the continued growth of our members and profession. A vital component of making that happen is found in our measures to create a clean, safe environment.
We continue to monitor federal, state and local policy and guidance as it relates to COVID and our public health. We are working closely with the hotel to maximize your comfort and safety while attending the conference and have recently updated our website with additional information on our measures to ensure cleanliness and safety. We encourage you to check out this information while making preparations to attend at our page, Clean and Safe Protocols. There are some important elements worth highlighting in the current requirements. First, the State of Louisiana and City of New Orleans both have a mask mandate in place requiring masks be worn inside all businesses and hotel public spaces and meeting rooms. Second, restaurants, bars, and gyms, including those at the hotel, are required by the City of New Orleans to ask for a vaccination card or proof of negative COVID test results from the last 72-hours. While there are no guarantees for the future, we expect these requirements to remain in place through our event and for attendees to plan accordingly.
Finally, we are taking all precautions through repeated and regular cleanings during the event and ample access to hand sanitizer and PPE for attendees. We are also counting on all of you to engage in behavior that will best ensure the safety of others, even if vaccinated, whenever possible. SRAI places the highest priority on the safety of all conference participants, the community we will visit, and the communities in which our participants live. As a group that encourages people to lead by example and set the standards to which others aspire, it is a basic expectation all of you will support us in our goals to come together as safely and comfortably as possible.
Thank you for your support of SRAI, dedication to research administration, and your consideration of this message.
